Editorial Policies

  • Editorial Policy

    1. Peer-review System

Upon successful submission, the editorial department will conduct an initial assessment. Manuscripts that lack originality, contain significant scientific or technical flaws, provide insufficient valuable information, or fall outside the journal’s scope will be rejected. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will undergo peer review. The journal adopts a double-blind review system, and each manuscript will be sent to at least two independent reviewers. Authors are required to respond to reviewers’ comments point by point and submit revised manuscripts on time. After peer review, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on acceptance and is responsible for the journal’s entire content.

    2. Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct Detection

The editorial department uses the Wanfang similarity-checking system to detect academic misconduct for all submissions and conducts two rounds of checks during the manuscript-handling process: the first round is performed before peer review to confirm that the manuscript has not been published in any form (including conference papers, journal papers, theses, etc.); the second round is performed before the final review to reconfirm that the content has not been published.

    3. Internal Submissions

Manuscripts submitted by editorial board members, editors, or guest editors are subject to the same review and editorial procedures as all other submissions. Editorial board members, editors, or guest editors must not participate in the review, handling, or acceptance decision of manuscripts written by themselves, their family members, or their colleagues. Peer review must be conducted independently from the authors, editors, and their research groups.

    4. Review of Special Issues and Special Columns

The above review procedures apply equally to submissions to special issues or special columns. Manuscripts submitted to special issues or columns will undergo the same review and editorial process as regular submissions, and the Editor-in-Chief will make the final decision on acceptance. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the entire content of the journal, including special issues and special columns. When organizing a special issue, the editorial department may invite authoritative experts in the field to serve as guest editors. Guest editors are responsible for proposing special-issue topics, soliciting submissions, organizing peer review, and addressing any issues arising during the publication process. Guest editors work under the supervision of the Editor-in-Chief to ensure fairness in the review process.
