    1. Focus of Submissions

    Manuscripts are welcomed on the following topics:

    1. Development of unconventional reservoirs in oil- and gas-bearing basins;

    2. Effective exploitation technologies for ultra-heavy oil reservoirs;

    3. Integrated engineering geology;

    4. Deep and ultra-deep well drilling and production technologies, and cementing techniques;

    5. Horizontal well volumetric fracturing technologies;

    6. Wellbore pipe string technologies;

    7. Artificial intelligence engineering technologies;

    8. Ground engineering technologies;

    9. Safety, environmental protection, and energy-saving technologies.

     

    2. Manuscript Requirements

    1. Manuscripts should present clear arguments, reliable evidence, logical structure, focused content, and concise language. Titles and subheadings should be brief and precise. Text, figures, and tables should be appropriately matched. A manuscript should include: title, authors and affiliations, abstract, keywords, Chinese Library Classification number, main text (including figures, tables, photos), and references. Review articles should not exceed 7,000 words. Manuscripts must not have been published in any domestic or international journal, and simultaneous submission to multiple journals is prohibited.

    2. If the work has been supported by research funds or projects from relevant government departments or social organizations, please list the funding project name and number.

    3. Terminology, quantities, units, and symbols used in the manuscript must comply with national standards, with clear annotations, and should be consistent throughout the manuscript.

    4. Foreign-language scientific and technical terms, personal names, place names, and references must indicate the original language. For figures and tables, foreign place names and personal names must also show the original language.

    5. Information that can be described in text should not be presented in tables or figures. If tables or figures are used, their data need not be repeated in the text. Tables and figures should be numbered. Letters and numbers in figures must be clear, uniform, and appropriately sized. Image files should be provided in TIF or JPG format. In addition to the images embedded in the manuscript, source images without text must be provided separately at a resolution of no less than 350 dpi. Graphic files must be provided as vector files in CDR format.

    6. References should be limited to publicly available literature that the author has personally consulted and cited. References published within the last 10 years are preferred.

    7. Manuscripts must include both Chinese and English abstracts, clearly reflecting four elements: objective, method, results, and conclusion. The Chinese abstract should be 300–400 words and include 5–10 keywords.

    8. Authors must provide the following information for each author: name, professional title/position, degree, field of expertise, institutional address and postal code, telephone number, and email address, to facilitate communication with the editorial department and readers.

    9. The first author or corresponding author must sign a confidentiality agreement.

     

    3. Manuscript Handling

    1. In accordance with the Copyright Law, the journal reserves the right to make textual modifications or abridgements to manuscripts. If the author does not agree, please state this in the submitted manuscript.

    2. For published manuscripts, authors will receive remuneration and a copy of the journal issue.
